german translation incomplete

hey,
unfortunately missing a few translations, such as Recurrence Rules or Add another rule. A completion of the translation is not possible, because these terms are not in the file on http://translations.theeventscalendar.com/projects/tribe-events-community/de/default. I have found no way to supplement these terms.

I’m already registered and wanted to change that as well. But Recurrence Rules and Add another rule is missing, so I have no way to translate these terms. Once in the listbox is also missing. I see no way to add these terms in translation.

Ich habe ein ähnliches Problem. Die Verlinkung zu den Darstellungen “Woche” und “Foto” funktioniert nicht. Diese wurden übersetzt, der Pfad leider nicht. Wenn ich im Browser …/events/photo eingebe, dann gelange ich auch zu der gewünschten Ansicht, nur eben nicht über den Klick in der Bar. Hast Du dafür schon eine Lösung gefunden?

Hallo Markus,
ich habe das bei mir mit community events geändert: In der Version 3.11 gab es den Fehler, dass statt ../veranstaltungen/community/add damals ../veranstaltungen/community/hinzufuegen im Menü verlinkt werden musste. Jetzt war in 3.12 wieder …/add notwendig. “Woche” und “Foto” habe ich bei mir nicht.
Aber ich habe mir das gerade auf meinem lokalen Server kurz angesehen. Wenn ich die Einstellung für die Bar bei mir auf “Foto” bzw. “Woche” ändere, dann erscheint ../veranstaltungen/woche/?tribe-bar-date=2015-09-22 und die Seite wird nicht gefunden. Ersetze ich “Woche” durch “week” passiert gar nichts.
Wenn ich noch Zeit haben soll (z. Zt. kämpfe ich noch mit einigen wichtigen Problenen nach dem Update 🙁 ), dann schaue ich mir das aber noch mal an.

Hi Geoff, i would be happy, if you could give a little support. I use the pro-version an recurring events on my site. The translations work fine but also were also causing a little trouble. The link from the bar ist to …/foto and there is nothing to be found. When i write …/photo in the browser instead it works fine. With “woche” instead of week there ist the same problem. in which file do i have to change what kind of code. I hope you can help. Please excuse my english, it´s been a while since i learnd in school. Looking forward for your soon answer i leave with all the best regards.

Auch Dir vielen Dank für Deine schnelle Rückmeldung. Ich verzweifle so langsam und hoffe, dass mir der Geoff helfen kann. Wenn Du magst schau gerne mal unter http://www.blomberg24.de rein. Ich arbeite noch daran, kann also sein, dass es zwischenzeitlich mal haken wird. Ich habe Dein Übersetzungsproblem zwischenzeitlich lösen können. Auf dem Server findest Du unter “wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/src/admin-views/event-recurrence.php” die Datei in der ich manuell Anpassungen vorgenommen habe. Bei mir zeigt er jetzt die deutschen Begriffe an. Wenn man allerdings ein Update macht, muss man das erneut machen. Wenig komfortabel, funktioniert aber. Lediglich die Hinweistexte habe ich noch nicht vollständig in den Griff bekommen.

danke für die Info.
Das ist natürlich sicher eine Lösung (ich hatte die Stellen noch nicht gefunden), aber ich würde viel lieber eine “normale” Übersetzung haben und grundsätzlich sollte das ja wohl möglich sein.
Notfalls könnte man die Datei ja noch in das child-theme packen, um bei zukünftigen Updates nicht das Risiko einzugehen, dass die Datei überschrieben wird.
Wir haben auch nach dem Update enorme Probleme mit der Version und überlegen z. Zt. wieder auf 3.11 zurückzugehen.
Übrigens die meisten englischen Übersetzungen bereite ich mit dem google – Übersetzer vor, weil ich auch nicht so fit in Bezug auf die englische Sprache bin 😉

Good question and you’re right: the URLs themselves would not be affected by the translated strings.

There is, however, a way to do this and we have an article on it here. The “View Slugs” section is specifically what you’re looking for here as far as changing the view URLs so they match your translations.

Indeed, this is a very interesting article, but unfortunately does not solve my problem, but perhaps the problem of Markus.

Possibly you have misunderstood me. As a reminder: Not the translations of Recurrence Rules, Add another rule and Once are missing, but the words themselves. I see no way to add these words in the translation file.

My apologies! I definitely did misunderstand the question and I appreciate your clarifying for me. 🙂

Yes, that text is indeed part of a new feature that was recently released in 3.12 and it is very likely that the strings do not yet exist in the file.

To add them, you can use an translation editing app–Poedit is the one I use personally–to open the German .po file in the PRO plugin, search for the strings, add their translations, then upload to our translation site for submission.

So sorry again for the mixup and I hope this is a much better explanation of what you’re looking for!
