Even after the update we have the same problem as before.
The time and the date format in the “week view” and in the “day view” is not translated into German. This applies also to the word “Recurring Event”.

    Hi groeteke,

Are you saying that the time and date format is not showing in German style (e.g. DD-MM-YYYY and 21:00) or that the month and day names are still showing in English?

For most of the calendar, the date and time format that you set in the WordPress Settings will show in the calendar. However, the times and dates listed in the Day View and Week View are hard coded. We are working on making The Events Calendar completely obey the WordPress setting, but at this time there is no way to change those without digging into the plugin files.

Some elements of the calendar, such as days of the week and month names, are translated by WordPress itself and not via our plugin translations. This means that if you do not have the WordPress translation files loaded for your language you will see some untranslated words in your calendar, even with your language set in wp-config. To fix this, you’ll need to download and install WordPress for your language. Then the Day View (and other Views) should be fully translated.

    Does that answer your question?

    Best,

    Leah

    Hi groeteke,

Thank you for the link and the information. I installed the German WordPress files on my site and I am also seeing the month name in English. That makes me think that the problem is actually in the German WordPress translation. You might want to get in touch with the people who work on that and make sure it is up to date. When I use another language like French, our month names translate properly.

The US-style times that you see in Week and Day View are hard-coded, so they don’t obey the settings you’ve selected. We are working on making these more international-friendly, but at this time I don’t have a solution for you. I apologize for the inconvenience.

    Best,

    Leah

    Hi Peter,

You can set your date and time formats under the WordPress General Settings. Those will carry over to most of the calendar. We are working on improving it so that it carries over to all parts of the calendar. Thank you for your patience while we work on making it more international-friendly.

    Best,

    Leah
