ParticipantHow about this: Is there any way to have the list that shows below the mini calendar widget show up without the mini calendar? We just want to separate the list of upcoming events from the display of the mini calendar. The one in that widget is so well behaved!

ParticipantHi,
In fact, there is a small function which will help you to do that
tribe_show_month()! see this post: http://wpstylish.com/tribe-event-calendar-display-month-calendar-homepage/December 9, 2013 at 8:21 am #80804Barry
MemberHi cactusthemes, thanks for the tip: not too sure how using tribe_get_month() would help here as sazarnoff is attempting to dispose of the (mini) calendar in order to show only the list generated by the same widget, but it could certainly be useful for other scenarios – thanks!
In this case (sazarnoff) you would probably want to remove that same function from the pro/widgets/mini-calendar-widget.php template: take a look at our Themer’s Guide for an overview of safely making customizations like this one.
Thanks!

ParticipantOk, so I previously fixed it by not using the Events List Widget and resizing the calendar, and all was fine. Then, I updated to 3.3 for the events calendar, events calendar pro, and Wootickets. Now I have the problem again. check it out at http://aiascv.sacreativesolutions.com What was updated in the mini calendar plugin that might have caused it? Can you let me know what it is so I can disable it or find some way around it? Or do I need to lock this site to version 3.2 forever, and if so, how do I do it so nobody will accidentally run an update on it later?

MemberSorry to hear the problem is back.
Can we return to an earlier point in the troubleshooting process though, and deactivate all other plugins and switch to a default theme (like Twenty Twelve) and try to determine from there if you are facing a conflict?
I’m not sure that we ever categorically determined whether this happens only with your theme or if there is something else impacting / a wider problem.

ParticipantIt seems to happen primarily with this theme, but my point is: give me a file list of what was changed and / or a function list of what functions were changed, and we might be able to locate it. I’ll make another copy of the site tomorrow and try turning plugins off / changing the theme. The point I see is that something in your update has caused the same error I saw previously in the events list widget, so now there should be a smaller subset of places wherein we can look for it. I suppose when I clone the site, then I can test what happens and re-load 3.2 to the live site. (Is there anything I need to know or be careful of when downgrading back to 3.2? just copy all 3 plugin directories back? I suppose I’ll need to start keeping old copies in case the updates break things…

ParticipantPlease let me know how I can get a copy of The Events Calendar 3.2 so I can downgrade the site. I need to get this up and running asap, and as your current updates have caused it to break, I need to at the very least get it working again. I have moved the site with the updated plugins to: http://sa-creative.com so we can try to figure out why it broke, but for now I need to get the site functioning again. Please help asap.

MemberYou can download previous versions from the downloads page:
https://theeventscalendar.com/downloads/
Remember that you would need to pair this with the relevant version of The Events Calendar (our free, core plugin):

ParticipantThank you. I now have the site running again on the old plugins. Does this mean I can never update without the post loop showing up? Is there a list of the files updated in patch 3.3, specifically to do with any changes in the widget for the Mini Calendar? Or do I need to compile the list myself?

That’s difficult to answer at this stage: I’d like to think not, but I don’t have enough information to give you an answer. Now we know that this happens specifically with your theme can you tell me which theme are you using and link to its homepage, if it has one?

We provide a changelog in the readme.txt file with each of our plugins – if you need more detail than that provides you could certainly use a diff tool to build a highly detailed picture of changes between versions but I’m afraid we don’t have one that is pre-made. So, yes, I’m afraid this is something you would need to compile by yourself, if the changelog is insufficient.
