GuestHi,
I wanted to update the French translation of The Events Calendar in order to fix:
– a few consistancy issue with trailing “:” in some labels
– a few fuzzy translations (changes that have been made in TEC like “Use a New Venue” –> “Use a New %s” have never been ported in French, leading to some strange construction)
– consistancy in the use of some words (“Salle” and “Lieu”)
– a few missing translationsTo do that, I’ve downloaded the master file as explained in https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/adding-or-updating-a-translation/.
However, the corresponding zip seems to not be up to date. The po file installed in my site is earlier than the one in the zip.
In the zip I have:
“POT-Creation-Date: 2014-11-21 15:11-0800\n”
“PO-Revision-Date: 2014-11-25 14:21-0800\n”
In my web site, I have:
“POT-Creation-Date: 2014-12-05 15:37-0800\n”
“PO-Revision-Date: 2015-01-14 16:25-0800\n”Did I missed something, or where could I find the current French PO?
Thanks in advance.

MemberHi CJ,
I believe those translations might out of date right now.
We have a release coming up in the next couple weeks and we will update all those files then.
Can you wait to do the update on the translation until then?
Let me know.
Thanks

GuestSure, let me know.
Would you like me to send you just a couple of small tweaks, so that they get incorporated in the coming release?

I appreciate the offer!
However, we are almost finished on the final testing and I do not want to make changes to a language file that might cause an issue on release.

GuestNo problem, I understand.
I’ll submit the updated PO file after the new release.June 2, 2015 at 5:42 am #966571Brian
MemberOk sounds good.
I am going to close this ticket since we are going to wait for the release to update the translation.
Please create a new ticket after the release and we can work with you to get the translation updated.
Thanks
