Hi folks. We’ve been QAing the open issues in 2.0.2 this week, and so far I can confirm that the following items have been confirmed as resolved, and are awaiting deployment:

Small features, UX and Content Tweaks:

    • Added link to new user primer (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/documentation/events-calendar-pro-new-user-primer/) to the activation message.
    • Added tribe_is_event_in_category conditional to plugin code base.
    • Plugin now adds a default role when registering custom post types.
    • Russian language files incorporated (free & PRO).
    • Dutch translation files incorporated (free only).
    • Danish translation files incorporated (PRO only).
    • Italian translation files incorporated (free & PRO).

    Bugs:

    • Months will now show appropriate day count, instead of 31 days as they were previously.
    • Custom recurring events previously not showing start AND end time (just start time); now are showing both.
    • Hack to include events in your main loop no longer causes event link to vanish.
    • Fixed issue of recurrence settings changing upon publication.
    • Fixed other bug related to recurrence details showing incorrect date/time.
    • General bugs with weekly recurrence have been squashed.
    • Admin page should no longer hang when updating a recurring event.
    • Breadcrumbs will now show the correct slug info on Thesis.
    • Not entering a name for an organizer or venue doesn’t stop it from publishing, as it did previously.
    • Admin events list now appears with soonest event at the top, not the bottom.
    • Unnamed venue/organizer now created when no venue or organizer name added.
    • Featured image no longer overlaps the map on individual entries in the default 2011 theme.
    • Custom recurrence events weren’t previously showing end time on the frontend; they will now.
    • Comments box now appears on the default page template (was previously only on default events template).
    • Minor change to line 1835 of the-events-calendar.class.php.
    • Incorporated patch to include file name in permalink for users running the plugin on shared IIS servers.
    • Changes to incorrect tag on lines 58, 60 & 62 in views/single.php.
    • Next/Previous link in recurring & standalone events both work fine.
    • General display tweaks to Calendar widget (wasn’t showing future events previously, and CSS was screwy)
    • Renamed the dashboard Tribe newsfeed widget to conform with rebranding efforts.
    • Worked to better display comments in Thesis & Genesis themes.
    • General display bugs related to the WP 3.3 beta.
    • Fixed general PHP notices that appeared with debug turned on in your wp-config file.

This was last updated 12/6/2011, and contains pretty much all the fixes that have made it into 2.0.2 at this time. If you were waiting on something and don’t see it on the list, let me know and I’ll check on the status for you.

    Hi there.

You had said that this issue (https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/feature-request-default-sort-in-admin-events-list/) would be fixed in 2.0.2 – please tell me that it is still going to be?

Also, do you have a new ETA for 2.0.2 please?

    Thanks,
    AB

Hey Andrew. That’s still on the list; as I mentioned above the list is not all inclusive, so we’re aiming to get that resolved for 2.0.2 still as well. I’ll update this once there’s enough new information to justify it.

ETA at this point is late next week; no guarantees that’ll be what we hit but we’re on track for it right now.

    Hi Rob,

That is excellent, thank you. It is driving a client wild and I’d said an update was on the way after your previous post.

    Much appreciated,
    AB

Perfect. If anything else comes up that you wonder the status on, just hit me up and I’ll give you the status.

Just curious when we can expect the update, I am using the calendar on two client sites and the issue of it showing 31 days regardless of the month is problematic.

Any update on when this update will happen? I’m hoping this also fixes the issue where if you post an event on Nov 30th it also shows up for every day in December.

We’re expecting to have this out by the end of this week.

Tim, what’s the issue you speak of? That doesn’t sound like default behavior, even a bug, since I’m unable to recreate. Any chance you could elaborate or send me an email (rob at tri.be) with a link to someplace I can check this out? Want to get it logged so it’s on our radar, if it isn’t already.

    Hi Rob,
Some of our client’s events are free. Free events show on the calendar but when you click on the event it goes to the homepg, not event detail page. I’ve tried leaving the amount blank & entering 0, same result.

Hey Tom. Thanks for the note; that’s a weird issue. Have you resaved your permalinks and given it another shot? If so, any chance you could post this in a new thread (so as not to cause confusion) and link to the site so I could check that out?

Sorry about posting here, wasn’t thinking. Resaving the permalinks resolved the problem. Thanks for your help.

Bill: it’s a conditional template tag. Will allow for more flexibility outputting category data if you’re using template tags.

I’m sure an oversite but I would love to see all the files in the download! It was quite annoying to do a major pro upgrade, 1.2.x to 1.3.3 then to 2.0 and be missing the non-pro version files. I had to additionally download the free version to get those files.
