Filtering Search – #2

Hello there,

I recently spoke with one of the support team (Andras), upon which we discussed a certain issue with the filtering bar for Events Calendar. – – https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/filtering-search/

I was told to go to go to Google and find the answer on there to which I received the reply:

“Hello Ash,

Thanks for posting in the Google Maps Help Forum.

Please let me know the website from where you’re searching for addresses.

If you’re using a third party application, I’d recommend contacting the 3rd party application developer as they might be using Google Maps as a platform.

Further, I’ve tried Google Calendar and able to view correct locations for “Birmingham”.

Hey Ash,

I’m sorry to say that excluding certain countries or regions from the location search is not a support feature at this time. I think Andras was trying to say the same and inadvertently sent you over to Google Maps support. I think it would be possible for us to look into building that sort of functionality into The Events Calendar — if you’re willing, it would be awesome if you could add that idea to our feature request forum so others can vote on it as well. I can’t guarantee it is something we will build, but posting it there will at least ensure it is on our radar for consideration.
