    Hi Guys,
Mike again with the Stand Up Magazin. I ended up purchasing the filter bar. I like to customize a few things. I like the change the working in the filter bar like “Narrow your results” to explain the user what to do in 2 languages. Can you point me to the file where that is in so I can go and change it. Was not able to find it by myself.

    Thank you,
    Mike

    Hello Mike,

Thanks for reaching out to us again!

You can customize the “Narrow your results” text by following the Themer’s Guide and copying the appropriate view that you’re using from the Filter plugin at views -> filter-bar -> filter-view-horizontal.php or views -> filter-bar -> filter-view-vertical.php. The label for that section that you can change will look like this in both files.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi Josh,

thank you very much. I am not 100% sure if I followed your instructions. I am looking to change the wording “Narrow your results” and “Sort Events” into something else. I could not find the PHP file you pointed out in the WP Plugin Editor. I was searching in this file: the-events-calendar-filterbar/lib/tribe-filter-view.class.php
    could not find appropriate label.

    Thanks for your further help.
    Mike

    Hello standupmagazin,

Thanks for following up with us!

Not all the files are available via the editor under the Plugins section of your WordPress dashboard. To edit the appropriate file, you’ll need to access your website via an FTP client (Filezilla is the most common). You can get the FTP information for accessing your site from your current hosting provider. You’ll then take the file mentioned above and move it to your active theme following the instructions from the Themer’s Guide.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!

    Hi Josh,
thank you very much. I was not aware of that. Now it was an easy fix. Now one last thing: Where is the “Sort Events” I could not find that in this PHP file.
    Thanks,
    Mike

Thanks for following up with us! Glad I was able to help with the initial issue.

Can you send me a screenshot of the “Sort Events” text where it displays on your site?

    Thanks!

    Hi Josh,

no sure how to send an attachment in this forum. Just go to standupmagazin.com/sup-events and you see it in the filter bar… next to the submit button.

    Thank you,
    Mike

    Hello standupmagazin,

    Thanks for following up!

It looks like this is the title for the associated filter. You can change that within the settings at Events -> Settings within the “Filters” tab. You can see the title sections that looks like this https://cloudup.com/c6qYilJexD7.

Let me know if this helps.

    Thanks!
