ParticipantHi Team,
I purchased the filter bar add on for the events calendar plugin for the website – techskillsau.com.au.
I need to keep the plugin horizontal and opened, but every time I do that, it ruins the complete layout of the website. I have added the link to the page layout image with this for your reference.
Also, on the mobile site, the filter options don’t show up in either form i.e. vertical or horizontal. Once again, the image link is added.

Filter Bar Mobile – http://imgur.com/G9mj5rkCan you please suggest a way around this problem?
I am using the Avada theme which is compatible with the Events calendar plugin.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Cheers,

MemberHello Sid and welcome to the forums! Thanks for reaching out. 🙂
I see what you mean–the layout is pretty janky whether the vertical or horizontal layout is used.
The issue is likely due to the custom layout used by Avada. I know the fine folks on the Avada team created a nice layout for The Events Calendar (and did a great job of it). At the same time, it’s possible they did not consider how the Filter Bar premium add-on would interact with it.
You may be able to correct the layouts with CSS. However, it looks like the source of the issue is that some of the elements that are either customized or added by the theme are interfering with the layout. I hate to push you to Avada’s support, but I really do think they would be better suited to provide direction on how to modify the theme to better integrate with the Filter Bar.
Let me know if any questions come up in that exchange that I can help answer and I’d be happy to!

ParticipantHi Geoff,
Thanks for the response.
A small questions, since the issue as I see is that Avada has a specific layout for events calendar which does not take into consideration the filter bar.
Would it help if I remove their layout and support files and the original events calendar files override the layout?
Let me know!
Cheers,

MemberHey Sid–thanks for following up!
Yeah, that sounds like it would work. At the same time, I would use a bit of caution when stripping out those templates in case the theme has any custom functions that might rely on those templates.
Still, you can test it out by temporarily removing the templates from the tribe-events folder (save them on your desktop or something) and seeing what happens.
There’s the possibility that the page could still look wonky if the Filter Bar conflicts with any other custom theme layouts. In that case, I would suggest heading to Events > Settings > Display to make sure the Default Event Template is being used as the calendar template.
Cheers!
