Filter Bar layout in list view versus month/grid view

Hi, I am looking for a way to show the filter bar vertically when viewing the “List” of events and horizontally when viewing the “month” or “grid” of events. For layout purposes, I want the month/grid calendar to be full width with the filtering above and the list to have the sidebar filtering. There is only a setting in the admin to choose one or the other for all views and I’m having trouble figuring out a way to hook into this functionality to change the layout for each “view”. And since the horizontal layout uses different html/js to power the filters/form I can’t simply adjust the CSS to override the layout.

We don’t have a readily available solution on how to go about achieving what you describe other than reading through the Themer’s Guide, particularly the first section “Customizing Template Files”. I took a quick look and it looks like the folders/files you’ll need to explore are in plugins/the-events-calendar/src/views and plugins/events-filterbar/src/views.

Next you’ll need to browse the Technical Docs. A more specific page in regards to tribe_events_get_filters can be found here.
