ParticipantI first was told it was a theme problem even though all was working well yesterday when I left the office. I had updated EC Pro that fixed my calendar problem where I had the spinning wheel when I clicked on a future date. I thought I was good to go.
I came in this morning, site was down. Blank page. Host said it was a theme issue, iFeature Pro.
I just restored a back-up from yesterday when it worked. It then showed I needed to update Events Calendar. I did. Then I saw that Events Calendar Pro was deactivated. I clicked activate and got this:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare Tribe_ECP_Load() (previously declared in /home/landbetweenthelakes/landbetweenthelakes.us/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/events-calendar-pro.php:34) in /home/landbetweenthelakes/landbetweenthelakes.us/wp-content/plugins/theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-calendar-proversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4.0-z8p1Y9/events-calendar-pro.php on line 56
So, I cannot update the pro version. I need the pro version.
And, as I’m typing, the site is broken again…I think it has something to do with the Events Calendar update….
I need some serious help, please.
Thank you!!

ParticipantHere is the “bad code” my host found. Said it was the theme, iFeature Pro….However, now I’m getting the fatal error from Events Calendar.
Additionally, sometimes I can get it to come up on Explorer. However, the side column is not how I created it. It is completely different than how it should work.
I hope this is an evil April Fools joke and everything works tomorrow.
Thank you for any assistance.

ParticipantOk, just did a restore from one of my back-ups. EC pro is not activated, because I can’t. Additionally, I cannot click on a future date on the Calendar.
I’m pretty sure, at this point, it is Events Calendar Pro causing my site to break. I’m afraid to clear a cache or anything. I can get it to come up so I don’t want to touch it until someone gives me a fix.
Thanks.

ParticipantI followed this advice from another one of my issue posts:
It looks like you have two versions of Pro.
You need to go into your site by ftp of the hosting file manager.
And delete this folder:
/wp-content/plugins/theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-calendar-proversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4.0-z8p1Y9
Then you should just have one other folder for pro:
/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/
That should prevent the issue from happening.
I had the host delete that file. I dumped the cache. Updated Events Calendar and the site broke. White screen. Please advise…

MemberWhat is the new error you get?
You need to confirm you only have one copy of Pro and one of The Events Calendar.
For this error:
Premature end of script headers: index.php[Fri Apr 01 05:53:14 2016] [error] [client 91.200.12.24] 418 (phase 1). String match “ofc_upload_image.php” at REQUEST_BASENAME. [file “/dh/apache2/template/etc/mod_sec2/99_dreamhost_rules.conf”] [line “236”] [id “1990059”] [msg “Open Flash-Chart RFI”] [hostname “www.landbetweenthelakes.us”] [uri “/wp-content/themes/artisan/includes/core/lib/php-ofc-library/ofc_upload_image.php”] [unique_id “Vv5vOkIhz28AAAmaQJ0AAAAE”]
That is not our plugin and looks to be a theme issue.

ParticipantOk…After much frustration, my host helped delete the file I was told to delete:
/wp-content/plugins/theeventscalendar.compu_request_pluginevents-calendar-proversion4.1pu_get_download1pue_active_version4.0-z8p1Y9
All of my plugins were deactivated. I re-activated them one by one, refreshing my website each time and emptying the cache. I activated events calendar without issue.
When I activated events calendar pro, I got my white screen. I deactivated it and the site works perfectly.
I can only surmise there is a conflict between the pro version and my theme or another plugin.
Not sure what to do about this, as I need those pro version features.
Any thoughts?

MemberWithout seeing the error that happens with Pro is active it is hard to tell.
Can you delete Pro and get a fresh copy and see if that helps.
Also please setup WordPress Debug to see what errors are showing when you try to recreate the issue in this file: /wp-content/debug.log
That might have us narrow this down.

ParticipantOk, I deleted Pro and installed a clean copy. Still get a white page when I activate it. Very frustrating. Once I deactivate, the site works fine.
Honestly, I’m tired and frustrated. I’m leaving it for the weekend, as Monday is a new day.
I really need pro to work. It stopped working with the most recent update. Not sure what it’s conflicting with unless it is iFeature Pro 5.5.
Thanks for all the suggestions. I hope to get it figured out soon.

MemberI would highly recommend setting up WordPress debug to figure out the error on the white screen. I am not seeing other reports of this with the latest version so it looks to be unique to your site.

ParticipantI got a notice that the theme Toolbox was a security threat and thought maybe that was the conflict. I deleted it and Pro still crashes my site. Any other suggestions?

MemberDid you setup WordPress Debug?
https://codex.wordpress.org/Debugging_in_WordPress#Example_wp-config.php_for_Debugging
Without getting any error messages it is just guesses on what the issue is.
Or please contact your host and see if they can get the error log.

ParticipantPro works great now that my host increased my PHP memory_limit andthe max_excecution_time. Thank you for all your direction. It did help me narrow down the problem. I appreciate what you all do!!!
