GuestHi support,
this is a pre sale question, I need to import my events by Facebook and I would like to purchase your plugin Facebook Events, I see you have an Events Aggregator too but I just need the facebook events not all the rest and there is a difference in prices, so what I need to know is if it’s possibile to purchase only the plugin Facebook Events, or I need all the event aggregator plugin to import my events by facebook?
Thanks,

MemberHi Emanuele,
Thanks for getting in touch!
I think both plugins will ultimately work for you, but would recommend Events Aggregator. It’s going to fully replace Facebook Events this year and continue to receive new features whereas Facebook Events is slowly being phased out and not receiving the same sort of release updates.
The other big difference is that Event Aggregator gives you more options for importing events from Facebook and for how you manage your imported events. It’s really much nicer, in my honest opinion.
Another good thing about Event Aggregator is that there is nothing to install. It’s already included in The Events Calendar. Simply purchase a license, enter it in The Events Calendar plugin settings and it will give you access to the importing features in Events > Import.
Does this help answer your question? Please let me know. 🙂
Cheers!

GuestHi Geoff,
after your reply I purchased Events Aggregator.
I like it and thanks for the suggest, but need a little assistence for one thing: what is the meata key/value for the events starting date, or how I can add a function to query the event start date to put the events in a personalized grid ordering events by start date?
Thanks,

MemberHi Emanuele,
Glad to hear you went with Event Aggregator! I have no doubt you’ll like it. 🙂
We actually have a tutorial on how to use our tribe_get_events() function to create your own query of event posts and event start date is a meta value it can use. Here are the examples:
We typically like to keep support threads to one topic at a time — would you be ok with us marking this one resolved and moving to a new threads if you have any follow-up questions from here?
Cheers!
