I got a facebook API error and I know that this is because those pages had age/country restrictions. One of those pages removed this restriction.

I think I verfified this by using https://developers.facebook.com/tools/explorer/716340455047500/?method=GET&path=TheFalconBar%2Fevents and using [my app ID]|[Secret key] to make the call which returns their events (not sure if this is the best way to verify that ).

However the import page still shows “Facebook API Error: Unsupported get request.” where their events should be.

They have told me that their page is accessible..is there a good way to check that. Is it possible that the plugin waits until trying again after it get’s the API error?

    Thanks.

    Hi matsokoloff,

Hmmm…. when I click on that link I am asked to login. The event may not be restricted by age/country anymore, but it’s not yet public. Looks like the event is set to private which will cause an error.

Unless you can get them to make the event public, the plugin won’t be able to import it.

If there’s anything else I can help you with, please ask!

Sorry that’s not the link to the event that was a link to the Dev API tool. I guess trying to access the event when logged out is much easier. Which I tried and I can access the events when logged out. Here is their events: https://www.facebook.com/TheFalconBar/events

So I just checked and in the 10 minutes since I posted it works. Either a) they hadn’t updated or b) there is some delay on facebooks end or c) there is some sort of caching on the plugin.

Either way not a big deal to have to wait a couple of hours. Thanks for your help.

    Hey matt,

I’m glad you got it working! Let us know if you need anything else. I’ll close this topic in the meantime.
