Events Page Title and Section Title Incorrect

    It seems that after the last update, the title of the events page is now displaying Events Archive. And the Page Title Bar Text and Page Title Bar Subheader Text are not showing anything. In a previous release it would show UpcomingEvents (all one word missing the space). Where do I set these pieces of data for the events page that is just served up by the framework and has no real page behind it?

    Hi Joel,

    Sorry for the issues here.

    It appears this is happening because of a recent update to Yoast SEO, but it is not clear the exact cause of the issue.

    I am looking into it and will update you once I have something narrowed down.

    Ok I was able get the following to work to prevent Yoast SEO from rewriting the Event View Titles.

    Just add that to your theme’s functions.php file and you it should fix this.

    Let me know if that fixes the issue for you.

    It works for Week, List, and Photo. But does not work for month view. Let me know. Also the <head><title> value is Upcoming Events Events. How can I change that to something else or remove the duplicate word?

    In addition to this, how would you change the Page Title background image? I could hack something together with javascript, but would rather not do that!

    Hi,

    I am not seeing those issues on all my site and did all the initial testing in Month View.

    I visited your site and the month view looks to be working for me.

    As for the double Events in the title I am not seeing that in my theme either. If you change themes does it still display the double events?

    I can try to help troubleshoot this, but I am limited if the theme is causing this issue.

    To modify a part of your theme on the event archive pages you can use these conditionals to display the content you would like:
