ParticipantOn our monthly calendar, some recurring events in the next month have stopped showing. No pattern I can see. Refreshing the page has no effect.
Here’s calendar: http://www.soslsd.org/support-groups/2014-01/
See the Teen Group and one of the Mission Bay groups disappear when when you go to February. Both groups meet twice every month. In March the Mission Bay groups are back but one of the Teen groups is missing. Those instance are also missing in Admin. I can manually enter the missing groups but it would be helpful to know if it’s something I’m doing or a bug.
Thanks,

ParticipantHowdy Scott,
I do not believe this to be a bug. I am able to create duplicates of your event locally, and they are appearing in February.
You can delete a single occurrence out of a series. My main suspect is that those events were accidentally trashed, or permanently deleted. Have you checked your trash? Simply restore them if found there. If not, there, there were probably fully deleted. You would need to add them back manually in that case.
It is worth keeping an eye on to see if this happens again, but no other users appear to be reporting anything similar.
Does that make sense? Did my advice help you get it fixed? Thanks!

ParticipantHi Brook,
Where do I check trash for this?
Thanks,

ParticipantGo to your Admin area, click on Events, then click on Trash. The Trash link is a little small, it is directly underneath the Filters & Columns box. Do you see it there?
You are welcome!

ParticipantI do not see it. I must be blind. I tried to paste a screenshot but it would not work. No way to send an image?

ParticipantHere is a screenshot: http://snag.gy/n67dg.jpg We generally just post links to them, that way you can use the screenshot tool of your choice!
Are you able to find it now?

ParticipantThank you for your patience Brook.
On mine there’s only “All (148) Published (148)” I assume this means the trash is empty and there are no drafts. Will experiment and find out as I set up the missing dates…but peculiar that the dates that are set up to be recurring don’t show all the dates as instructed….don’t understand that.Best,

ParticipantYou are quite correct, the Trash link does not appear unless there are events there. I did not think that of that, but it sure explains your trouble in finding the link! It is hard to find something that is not there.
There are a few settings that relate to how many, if any, events in a series will appear. For instance, in general settings there is “Create recurring events in advance for”. This allows you to limit how far into the future recurring events are being created. Furthermore there are settings in the General tab that allow you to just show the first instance, or let the user decide. Of course as mentioned at the outset individual ones can be deleted, even permanently, which would remove some instances as well. Perhaps between these features it explains why you are not seeing them all?
Let me know if I can further clarify anything regarding this. Thanks!
