ParticipantI had a problem, described below the link and I wanted to solve it. I turned off all plug-ins, reverted back to the 2012 theme from my organic “Structure” theme – I don’t have the 2011 default installed or I would have gone back to that one and started playing there too.
I decided maybe it is a browser issue. I don’t know why. I typically use Google Chrome. So, I checked the problem page on IE8 (same problem) and Firefox (problem solved). The calendar (calendar view by category) works fine in Firefox, but not in IE8 or Chrome. That’s just weird to me. Please view this link in all three browsers (maybe another I don’t have) to see the problem: http://www.polkarts.org/events/category/arts-events/2013-12/How I discovered this (before I discovered the browser issue). This may help if you don’t see what I’m talking about when you look at the link in all three browsers–
Initially, I set it up The Event Calendar with several event categories, then decided to use only two: 1) arts-events are those which happen one time or recur a few times over a weekend or something like that; 2) exhibits are long-term (weeks, months, even a year or longer), some happen 7 days/week, others 4 days/week, but for now I have them as non-recurring all day events for the entire time they run. Actually, I’ve done it both ways. I will probably change all of them back to the hours and days of the week that they run, which in some cases is complicated, but is no big deal.
This way I felt I could toggle looking at an “Events List” with “arts-events” only, “exhibitions” only, or could set for “All Categories” (both) using the widget. It works fine with in the sidebar as it should in all three ways.
However, it does not work right when I approach the monthly calendar from the “View All Events” link in the widget. When I set it up for just “exhibitions”, it seems fine (the greatest number of exhibitions I have in a single day is 7. When I set it up for “arts-events”, it works fine on dates where I have 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 events. If I have more than 3 events, it will say “View all 4” or “View all 5”. In The Events Calendar Settings under display I have Month view events per day set to the default of 3. However, the current month is fine, but when I go to the next month under the one date (Dec 7) where I have more — a total of 13 “arts-events” it does not say “View all 13”. It shows the default of three and doesn’t say anything below. When I have it set to All, it works fine – Dec 7 shows three entries and then says “View all 20”. I have 7 exhibitions and 13 arts-events, so that is correct.November 27, 2013 at 6:23 am #78856Bev Hendricks
ParticipantI did a really long post yesterday, but I can’t find it on the forum. Now I’m not sure if my problem is the browser or not. I figured out it works if I go directly to the month I want, but if I select the next month (or previous month) from the current month, it won’t show “View ‘X’ events” Go here – http://www.polkarts.org/events/category/arts-events/2013-12/
But, if I approach it from here – http://www.polkarts.org/events/category/arts-events/month
and then go to the next month or previous, it’s wrong.
Can’t do a screenshot of this activity, because it’s fine as long as you start on the original url.November 27, 2013 at 6:26 am #78859Bev Hendricks
ParticipantI couldn’t find this until my other post was replied to. Otherwise, I could have edited this with my next remark. Now I can’t delete that remark and move it here.

MemberHi Bev,
Thanks for your patience and apologies for any inconvenience you experienced while creating this thread (I know you created a separate topic because this one seemed to have disappeared – I’m not sure why that would have happened but hopefully it was a one-off).
What you are describing seems to perfectly fit the description of a known bug: we are very sorry for the disruption it has caused for you, but do know that a fix is in the works and should roll out with our next maintenance release.
