ParticipantHello,
I consolidated 3 separate WordPress installs into one using Multisite (and then, of course, WordPress import). Now, my events on all sites are displaying on the front end on their respective calendars, however, the events are not displaying in the Admin Panel. It’s incredibly strange because the event counts in the Admin Panel are populated (I can see Published (126) | Trash (8), etc.) but the actual list of events with option to edit, delete, view etc. is missing.September 3, 2013 at 6:56 am #64190Barry

ParticipantHi Barry – yes, I did check for that and no, that’s not the case here!

MemberThat sounds very strange indeed. In that case, can I ask you to run through our standard troubleshooting steps?
1. Please start by ensuring all of your Modern Tribe plugins are up to date and then deactivate all other plugins.
2. Next, switch to a default and unmodified theme (such as Twenty Twelve or Twenty Thirteen).
3. Test to see if the problem is resolved.
4. Assuming for the moment that does resolve things, please reactivate everything one-at-a-time, testing at each stage to see if the problem has returned.
This should (potentially) help to isolate the source of the problem. Thanks!

Participant1) All my MT plugins are up to date.
2) Switching themes did not resolve the issue.
3) Deactivating other plugins one at a time did not resolve the issue.
I went into my Network Admin and Network Deactivated the Plugin on the Network level, then went into the individual Site Dashboard and activated the plugin on the site level. This did not resolve the issue.
However, in doing so, I noticed that the License Key tab from the Events Calendar Pro settings menu has disappeared. Is this some strange conflict with license keys while using Multisite?September 3, 2013 at 7:38 am #64214Barry
MemberLicense keys have no operational impact – they only exist to help us meter access to support and updates – so that shouldn’t be an issue here.
I know this may sound overly pedantic and I don’t mean it to – I just want to ensure we’ve run through things methodically enough to catch any potential issues – but can I ask you to try running through those troubleshooting steps in the order I suggested?
Essentially, deactivate all other plugins and then switch to a default theme, so that you basically have only a barebones WordPress installation (plus The Events Calendar) running – based on your last post that isn’t quite what you did and so there is every chance a conflict wasn’t caught.
Thanks!

ParticipantFirst step – deactivated all plugins except The Events Calendar and The Events Calendar Pro.
Second step – switched to 2013 Theme
Third step – checked to see if issue was resolved; it was not.
Fourth step – switched to Network Admin dashboard and network deactivated all plugins at the network level, checked to see if issue was resolved; it was not.
I DID change the URL of this site when I set up this multisite. The URL to this site was a temporary one (http://gracebiblechurchorg.mydomain.com) when I first installed The Events Calendar and that has since changed to http://www.grace-biblechurch.org. Could that be affecting the events?September 3, 2013 at 7:59 am #64226Barry
MemberOK – and in addition to network deactivating plugins, no plugins were individually active within the affected sites on the network?

ParticipantNo. It’s interesting to note as well that none of the other plugins were installed after the move to the Multisite – all of them came over. What I’m trying to say is that the Events Calendar and all other plugins played happily together before the move/import, which I think is what’s the root cause here.

MemberThat could be a factor for sure. Just a couple more points to try/consider:
1. If you create a new admin user and login with that account do you see the same problem?
2. If you create new events are they also hidden from view and does the post count, ie All (180) | Draft (95) | … increment as expected?
Thanks!

ParticipantYes. I logged in as our other Admin (created after the issue was discovered, after the merge, and after the Network creation) and experienced the same issue from her Admin Panel. I created a new Event as her and while the post count increased, the Event did not show in the list. The only way I can edit or delete events is by visiting them from the front-end while logged in and using the “Edit Event” link from the WordPress Admin Bar across the top. This is absolutely baffling.

MemberDefinitely. Can I ask if on this occasion you’d be prepared to provide (admin) login credentials so we can take a look for ourselves? You could either share them as a private reply or I could provide an email address for you to send them to, if you were happy to do this.
If you are happy to do so, as a completely optional added bonus would it be feasible for us to try out the troubleshooting steps for ourselves, just in case anything else becomes apparent that sheds light on this? If so we’d recommend making a complete backup beforehand and being prepared to restore any settings that might be affected (of course we’d try to minimize our impact, but even so there might be some amount of disruption requiring your intervention).
Should you not be happy with that part that’s absolutely fine and understandable – we appreciate your cooperation 🙂

MemberThanks – I’m just about out of time today, unfortunately, but will definitely take a look first thing tomorrow 🙂
