    For some reason, I am unable to update recurring events. I don’t get the option to choose single/all events. I just get the updater icon spinning and then nothing. Anyone any ideas please

    Hi – sorry to hear you are hitting difficulties.

    That’s certainly something that’s cropped up occasionally due to conflicts with other plugins. I see you tried some of our troubleshooting steps already, which is fantastic, but can I ask you to try (or confirm you have already tried) the following steps in full?

    • Please deactivate all other plugins
    • Switch to a default, unmodified theme such as Twenty Twelve
    • Now test to see if you can update recurring events
    • If you can, begin reactivating everything
    • Test at each stage to see if the problem has returned

    Hi, Thanks for your help and indeed I followed your suggestion and have established that the problem occurs when a plugin – MetaSlider and Meta Slider Pro are activated. i have emailed them about this, but not sure what can be done as i have no idea where the clash could be.

    Sounds like it could be a conflict arising from a clash between Javascript/CSS. Would it be possible for you to make .zip downloads for those plugins available (via Dropbox or some similar service – or just by uploading them to your WordPress site – then share the link privately) so we could take a quick look?

    I also have that same issue. The combination of MetaSlider and The Events Calendar Pro does cause an issue when either trying to edit an already published recurring event or trying to publish a saved to draft recurring event.

    After turning off MetaSlider I was able to see the lightbox that asked me if I was going to update the current event or all recurring events.

    Is there any updates to this? I would be happy to send any troubleshooting files necessary to help fix the bug.

    If I remember correctly, it was a problem in the Ajax of MetaSlider. They fixed it for me and said that the fix would be incorporated within their next update, which I believe has been released today.
