Hi there! Things have been running just fine with my theme and Events Calendar. I’ve been using both for about a year and a half now with no problems…until the last update of my theme and Events Calendar.

Suddenly the WordPress Images (Media Gallery) back-end started running so very slow! Sometimes, it even crashes Chrome! It takes minutes if not half an hour to upload and insert images and for a blog that’s heavy on images, that’s not good!

At first I thought it was my host but they double-checked that and my VPS is up and fine. I use this theme on a related website without the calendar and the back-end has no issues. I deactivated your plugin and the back-end was back to normal so I know where the conflict is coming from.

I use the Sahifa theme from ThemeForest. I didn’t have any issues until I updated your plugin, the theme, and WordPress the same day. The theme developer said that he didn’t touch image files for this update and when I deactivate your plugins everything runs smoothly as it should.

Please help! I can’t spend this long getting images uploaded but I also love your calendar and have spent a lot of time adding events over the years. I did notice that after the update the calendar doesn’t fit on the page either.

    Thanks,

    Hi Jessica,

Apologies for the delay: we’ve been experiencing a lot of demand for support and unfortunately that has made as a touch slower to respond than normal.

This is the first report I’ve heard of performance issues relating directly to the media library and I’m not sure why our plugin would affect this. Are you able to indicate how many images or other media files are currently under management by the WP media library and how many might relate to your events (even if only as a rough estimate)?
