Events Calendar Pro + Community Events + WooCommerce Membership

Hi there,

I hope you can help.

We have a website which allows users to submit entries from the front end using your excellent Events Calendar Pro + Community Events extensions to The Events Calendar.

We also use WooCommerce Memberships extension to limit access to certain content on the site.

What we would like to be able to do (which may or may not require Memberships to implement) is to have a separate kind of event (a category perhaps?) called “courses” which only paid members can submit to.

So, all registered logged in free users can submit regular events, but only paid members can have any access to the form form submitting courses.

Is that possible at all, please?

Hi, Andrew.

Sure, this could be accomplished by doing a template override for /wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar-community-events/src/views/community/modules/taxonomy.php

You’d want to add your logic for checking their membership level and then, if not authorized, you could remove that Event Category from the list of available options.

If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
