Events Calendar Pro 2.0.8 will not install.

Hi, When I manually upload the events-calendar-pro.2.0.8.zip I get this message:
“Destination folder already exists. /home/content/a/n/a/anandamainewh/html/wordpress/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/
Plugin install failed.”
Any idea what I need to do to get the Pro update to work?

That’s interesting. Is it possible that it is already installed and just hasn’t been activated?

Hi Kristy,

Did you try opening the zip file first before uploading? That’s what I would suggest. Open it first and then upload the contents to update the plugin.

I used filezilla to upload the 2.0.8 pro. It’s on the server but not showing in the wordpress dashboard. Can I delete the 2.0.7 version via filezilla? Will this help, or will I lose my event listings?

Hi Kristy,

My suggestion would be to overwrite the existing plugin files/folders in wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro with the files/folders in the 2.0.8 zip file.
