Events are duplicated multiple times after a site transition

Hi, we are moving our wordpress site from (http://www.cahrp.ca/) to (http://cahr-acrss.ca). In the admin section each event is showing only once, but on the site each event is displayed many time. How can re fix this? It works perfectly on the original site, but need to remove the duplicates.

How did you migrate the database over? Are these recurring events or standalone events? Is it happening with just recurring or standalone events?

Hi Jonah – I believe this is happening only with transferred events. Migrated via PHPadmin and WordPress Import feature. Also used FTP to copy site content from old site to new site. I think some information might have been imported more than once? They show only once under events in the admin, but multiple times on the live site. They are all standalone events. I created a new “Test” event and it shows up fine (in May). So it seems that it is only the imported events that are being duplicated on the live site.

Hi JF,

That’s strange. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins to see if that helps? I would suggest re-migrating the database over. My personal favorite tool for this is: http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-migrate-db/

Thanks Jonah – I will try re-migrating the database with the tool you suggested. Is there an option in there to “clear” the current database?
