ParticipantHi – I have Event Calender Pro and the Eventbrite plug-in. When creating a new event OR importing from EventBrite, there is no option for “Online Event”. Without this, I can’t save online events in wordpress… errors state that Eventbrite requires an address. Is there a way to override the address requirement field like I can working directly in Eventbrite by indicating it is an online event? Otherwise, I cannot use this program. I have many events that are webinars or online learning labs. Suggestions / Solutions?? Thanks!

MemberHi berkshirerealtorsnet,
Just wanted to give you an update on this. I have asked a developer to take a look at this with me as I too was able to recreate the issue and can’t see a work around on the backend. If you can bare with us we’ll be able to get this resolved as soon as possible for you.
Sorry that there’s not a quick answer, but we’ll get back to you with something asap.

ParticipantI too am experiencing this issue. All my events are run online, and I don’t want to publish an address. I have entered some online info into the address fields in the interim but it is not an ideal solution.
Is there a filter, definition or function I can use to avoid this?
Thanks

ParticipantHi, Ryan. We’re looking into this on our end, but don’t have a workaround yet. I’ll be back in touch when I have more info to share with you.
Thanks!

ParticipantHello, again. We’ve had a chance to do some testing on this, and here’s what we’ve found.
It looks like According to the Eventbrite docs, the country isn’t listed as required, but we are getting an error directly from their API when it’s left out. We’ve contacted them directly to see if they can clarify.
In the meantime, if you set the country to the United States, then the state will be required. (That’s the only country that requires the state when it’s selected.) The only workaround we can suggest for now is to choose another country besides the US. Otherwise, you will need to choose a state as well.
I know it’s not ideal, but as far as we can tell, there’s no workaround for Eventbrite requiring the country. I will update the thread again when we hear back.

MemberHi there berkshirerealtorsnet –
Just a quick note to say that your issue above will be included in a coming release that is slated sometime for this week. This ticket will remain closed, but feel free to open another ticket if the issue doesn’t get resolved and we can pick it up from there.
Thanks for your patience and info.
