Event Tags Mixed With Post Tags

Hi,

In our event tags:

edit-tags.php?taxonomy=post_tag&post_type=tribe_events

We have all our post tags listed here also.

This should not happen as the query should limit to the tribe_events custom post type?

Yep that is intentional Post and Event Tags are the same.

Interesting, I think the separation of these would be a suggestible idea.

What is the recommend course of action? Remove the tags, add our own for this post type?

If you would like to add your own tags you should be able use WordPress’s Custom Taxonomies and then edit all the templates to use that instead of the current setup.

If you would like to request the tags be separated in a future version you can do that on our User Voice page:
