ParticipantI’ve been delighted with The Events Calendar Pro 3.8. The event side of my site grew such a life of it’s own that I got a new, similar domain name and migrated all my files, plugins (and settings), permalinks settings etc., and database to the new domain. My events calendar seemed to move just fine to the new domain. (I had some pathway problems with uploading new images, but solved that issue by fixing the “absolute hosting path.”
The other issue I fixed involved my menu. My menus were identical on both sites, including the calendar link (which had the oldsite/events URL, which, of course, took me back to the oldsite events). I changed the Events menu link to the newsite/events URL and all the events looked the same, but, thankfully, with URLs for the new site.
I hoped all was well. It wasn’t. When I added my first new event at the new site it looked just fine in the WP backend, and when it viewed it (with a map) it had the new domain URL, but the event doesn’t appear on the website’s front end views. I cleared my caches, browser history, etc. –everything– for a week, too, but the inability to add an event to the front-end view of the site persisted.
I thought there might be a pathway issue, so I had GoDaddy do a search-and-replace (search for my old domain url and replace it with the new domain URL) in the database. There were many old-new replacements. However, the problem still persists.
As background, I didn’t want to lose my calendar at the old site during the transition, so I upgraded to “business,” which gives me up to 3 domains — before I migrated to the new site. I noticed that the licence key to my old site and new business license keys are exactly the same. I don’t know if that could be a problem. Or maybe there was something coded into the plugin at my old site that — when duplicated to the new site — is causing the problem. (I copied all the files, the database, all the plugins and plugin settings to the new site after I had upgraded to Pro business.
I’m absolutely stuck. I’m hoping you have a simple fix.
Thanks,
Rex

ParticipantI uninstalled Events Calendar and Events Pro and re-installed them. That fixed the problem.
