ParticipantHi Sam
Well, I am back and needing your assistance. The following is the response I receive from the theme creators:
Jo thank you for reaching out to us.
However you are aware that we cannot Guarantee our themes to work with every one of the 10,000 plugins that are on the market such as your Events Calendar Plugin.
We do have a Customization Forum where you may hire a developer to provide a workaround. So, unfortunately, I will not be receiving help from them. Any assistance you can give is greatly appreciated! Let me know what you need from me in regards to solving this issue.
Thank you
Jo

MemberHey Jo, sorry for the delay. I would like to say that i think we should pursue this with the theme author more. Please clarify with them that this is not a conflict just with our plugin, the theme is modifying the wp query on all loops and adding a category parameter to it. Other custom loops are working fine, but any relying on the post query being correctly reset are failing. i am assuming it is a problem with one of their nav functions. Let me know what they say about that. Cheers!

ParticipantHello Sam!
Sorry to hijack your discussion about event lists….but I’m not sure how to contact you directly.
I’ve been admiring the calendar work you’ve done on the MISSA website (http://www.missa.ca/workshops) and would LOVE to format my calendar in a somewhat similar way. The two big questions are: will my premium theme (memoir) allow me to format my calendar in a similar fashion? and, since I’m a novice user of WordPress, is there any documentation to guide me? my blog URL is http://vespadiaries.com and my calendar is located at http://vespadiaries.com/italian_cultural_events.
If you could let me know what you think about how I might proceed and/or my chances for success, I would be most grateful.
Thanks and regards,

ParticipantHi Jo,
Unfortunately there’s not much more we can do here if the theme creator is not willing to meet us half way. If you can convince them to work with you or us a little more we can revisit this, but we’ve exhausted all our resources on this up to this point. I’m sorry there’s nothing else we can do for you. If you have any questions or need any other assistance, please let us know.
Regards,

Since I haven’t heard back from you in a week on this I’m going to close it out. Feel free to open another thread if you still want help with this or need help with anything else.
Thanks,
