    Hi there,
I’ve just started working with the plugin and I’ve some issues.

I need the main events page to be the map.
The single events pages are correctly showing the map for the venue but in the main events page the map is empty.

I’ve found this error on the console “c(…).tribe_spin is not a function”.

Basically I would like to have something like this
    http://laculture.erodcommunications.com/evenements/map/

(map views, filter with category and a custom view for the map).

    Hi Martino,

Thanks for reaching out to us and welcome to our support forums! Let’s break this down:

    1. Making events the main page of your site: the simplest way to achieve this is via Event Rocket plugin. Once installed go to ‘Settings > Reading’ in WP-Admin, choose a static page for the front page, select ‘Main Events Page’ for the Front Page option and hit ‘Save’.

    2. Making Maps the default view: in WP-Admin go to ‘Events > Settings > Display’, enable Map View, then select it as Default View and ‘Save Changes’.

    3. Custom view for the map you mean the visual style they applied to Google Maps?

Please let me know about #3 and if #1 and #2 worked as expected,
    Best,
    Nico

    Hi Nico,
    thanks for the kind reply.

I solved my problem that the events to be seen on the map: it was a conflict with Jquerytools. Now I’m loading it only where I really need it.

About issue #3: yes, I see that page uses a different google maps style and marker.
Is it doable on my map too?

    Thanks!

    Hi Martino,

    Great to hear that solved!

Regarding #3, first please take a look at how that’s achieved on the Google Maps side. If you feel comfortable with setting that up, the next step would be to de-register ‘tribe-events-pro-geoloc’ (located at wp-content\plugins\events-calendar-pro\src\resources\js\tribe-events-ajax-maps.js) script and register a customized copy of it including the Google Map custom style. Do you feel you can do so?

    Please let me know,
    Best,
    Nico
