End of day cutoff: options

Hello,
My calendar is based on a work/office schedule. In the Settings > End of day, it’s all morning hours(am). I use the Weekly default view and as I am setting up events/appointments, would like to see the weekly view show up to a certain hour such as 6pm not 12am etc. How do I accomplish this?

My suspicion is that that would be quite an involved customization and not one we can help you with via the support forums, however definitely do feel free to create a feature request (along the lines of, offer an option to limit the time range of week view – if that is what you mean) over on our UserVoice page:

That can be particularly useful as if others also want the feature they will often comment to show their support.

Hello Barry,

Thanks for your response. I’ve added a request via UserVoice.
I discovered that no matter what time End of day cutoff is set to, the front end weekly calendar shows calendar time ending at 12:00am. I wonder if others are (or would like to be) using ECP for an appointments tool like I am.

I am seeing some issues with Week View but not quite what you are describing – can you point me to a URL where I can see what you are, so I can be sure I’m understanding the issue correctly?

It’s not exactly an ‘issue’; it’s more of a request for the Week View to show up to a certain time—in my case, 6pm-8pm for business/consulting/appointment hours. With that said, the End of day cutoff is what it indicates—End of day, not a cutoff time for the Week View on the front end.

Seems I will need to create a custom Week View for my needs unless I get enough votes 🙂

Ah ok, I think I misunderstood your followup.

Right now you probably would need to create a custom view or else work on customizing the existing one … I suspect customizing the current week view could be a difficult path – but that is really just an impression and may not be true for you. The only way to find out for sure is to give it a shot 🙂 .

Requests on UserVoice don’t completely hinge on votes or support from others – sorry if I gave that impression – we do consider each request on its own merits and the more I think about it the more I can see the appeal of clamping down on the time range.
