ParticipantHi there, There doesn’t seem to be a way to edit Organizer details (Phone email or even to correct a misspelling). Is this correct? My frontend event organizers need this. Can you help please?
The events calendar 3.11.2
Community 3.11
Wordpress 4.2.4cheers jeff

ParticipantHey Jeff,
Can you clarify exactly what you mean when you say there is not a way to edit Organizer details?
For example – do you mean that when a user submits an event through the Community Events submission form, they cannot then edit the organizer of that event they just submitted?
If so, this is unfortunately by design at the moment and organizers are not editable from the front-end.
If you mean something else, please let me know and also include a link to your site so we can check it out firsthand.
Thank you!

OK, but “by design” is a euphemism. The user can revisit the form from list view (Events/community/list then edit) and edit everything except Organizer from the frontend. It makes no “design” sense. But it is what it is, and I accept the limitation. I’ll just have to keep hacking away at it!
Cheers

ParticipantHey Jeff,
I appreciate your politeness in the face of what I definitely understand is a frustrating limitation. I agree with you, in fact, that the exclusion of just the Organizer from front-end editing stuff is a bit odd of a pattern.
I’m sorry about the frustrations that have risen from this and will voice your opinion with our development team. You should also post in our UserVoice forum, which is a great place for feature requests/tweaks to be vocalized and we frequently add changes to our code that start as ideas on here → http://tribe.uservoice.com/forums/195723-feature-ideas
Thank you Jeff!
If you have any other questions or concerns at all, please open a new thread any time.
Cheers,

ParticipantThanks George, I understand it’s an ongoing process and the problem of catering to all user applications. The plugin is great. I’ll let you know if I fix this one before you do. Subject closed for now thanks.

ParticipantThanks for the kind words Jeff – sorry again about this feature! I will indeed close up this thread for now, but post a new thread any time if you have further questions, comments, concerns – and especially if you do end up beating us to the punch for this feature 😉
Best of luck with your site in the meantime!
Cheers,
