I am using the latest version of The Events Calendar (3.8.1 – not the PRO version) and I find that the strings “Events for {date}” and “Find out more >>” are not being translated to Dutch. This occurs when I mimic a small screen bij resizing my screen to approx. phone size. The calendar resizes beautifully (great work!) but when I click a date on the calendar these English terms appear in the otherwise correctly translated details for that date. I have checked the Dutch .po file and the translation is there.
I am running the TwentyTwelve theme in WordPress 4.
Thanks for your post. Event though the translation was in the .po file, the .po file was a little outdated which was causing the translations not to work. I updated it real quick for you so you can use it. Download the updated files here and put those in your /lang file (replacing the others). Then you should see those strings translated 🙂
That doensn’t resolve the issue. Replaced the files with the ones you provided, restarted the server, cleared out the browser cache, still the same issue. I should note that I am running WordPress off my Synology NAS (ds214play).
Thanks for your reply. I didn’t completely understand the issue but I do now. The same problem was reported by another user in this thread. The issue is that in the mobile version, those strings are hard-coded. So even though they are translated in the .po file, they don’t work in the minimized version. I have ticketed this issue to be fixed in an upcoming release. Thank you for your patience while we get it fixed!
Best,
Leah
