Custom Views – Do you have a showcase?

I was about to start making a custom view for TEC and thought I’d ask if you know of any?

I know of the agenda view. I also know of a timeline view on the GARNISH theme that came as a result of a contest you did (though its embedded into the theme and CANT be used in another theme unless you customize it, which is a bummer because its WELL done).

Any more that you are aware of?

Thanks for using out plugins.

We do not have a Showcase of Views people have created. We just have the Agenda View.

I did look at the Garnish Theme and are you talking about the Weekly Events on the home page? That is a neat widget, but yeah it is only apart of their theme.

Sorry we do not have anything else we are working on a new site that has a showcase of the events calendar, but not a showcase of coding. We are thinking of adding a customization forum for people to share coding once the new site is live.

Whats stopping you from adding a customization forum NOW? It would only take 5 minutes to set up and if you use the same forum software, minimal transfer time…

I have something I would like to share to the masses: I’ve added some custom code that allows me to jump to the edit screen of any event item from the front end, as well as delete items from the front end. And I’d like to share the code as I would think that a lot of people might find it useful. Its often annoying to have to delete an item or edit an item by first opening it up THEN editing it. With my custom script, one can simply go straight to the edit screen or delete the item via one click 🙂

Let me know if you decide to implement a forum for things like this, even a temporary one. Im sure a LOT of people would probably contribute!

If you would like to share your coding you can do it in this thread with a link either to a Gist in Github or Pastebin.

I think we would make an announcement if we add the forum and I seeing if we have a list to add you to as well.
