ParticipantHi there,
i ran into a problem with Wootickets i have trouble reproducing, yet i am sure it occured at least four times while testing this site i am currently developing.Problem: The number of tickets sent to a user via email after purchasing via Paypal Sandbox is HIGHER than the number of tickets the user paid for and should therefore get. This essentially means the buyer gets free additional tickets on top of those he purchased, and obviously that is a no go.
One of the Order Emails of the corresponding transaction states 3 purchased tickets but holds a PDF attachment with 6 tickets. Anyone else ran into this? We are planning to start the presale for an event this week so timing is crucial. Awaiting your reply… Thanks.

MemberIt’s not something I’ve seen any other reports of.

Are these extra tickets duplicates or are they new tickets with their own unique ticket numbers and verification codes?

ParticipantUnfortunately they are new tickets with their own unique ticket numbers and verification codes.

MemberOK – well that is definitely concerning. If you review the order (WooCommerce > Orders > Click on an affected order) is the order quantity at the correct level or is it also at double the value?

ParticipantWhen reviewing one of the affected orders the order quantity stated there is correct.

MemberThat’s really puzzling. Do you have access to any of the generated PDFs? If so, could you forward it to us ([email protected]) and perhaps also share a screenshot of A) the corresponding WooCommerce order page and B) the WooTickets attendee list?
Thanks!

ParticipantSure, will gather those and send them right away.

MemberRobert – just acknowledging that we received that email and that we’re going to take a good look at this.
My impression from the first post in this thread is that you can’t reliably reproduce this – that’s fine, but can you confirm that you are able to reproduce it, even if that means placing multiple test orders?
Can you also detail the plugins and version numbers you are using (and also provide details of your theme). If possible – perhaps in a staging environment that is otherwise a replica of the live environment – can you also run through the following standard troubleshooting steps:
- Please ensure that your Modern Tribe plugins are up-to-date and in-synch … for instance if you are using The Events Calendar 2.0.11 you must also use Events Calendar PRO 2.0.11
- Deactivate all other plugins and change your theme to a default, unmodified one such as Twenty Eleven or Twenty Twelve
- Now test to see if the problem still exists
- If the problem has been solved by these steps, start reactivating everything one-at-a-time, testing at each point to see if the issue has returned
- If the issue does return, take note of whichever plugin (or theme) you reactivated immediately before it started again – it’s likely there is a conflict with this item
That could be really worthwhile here.

I opened this topic right after i placed about 20 test orders of which at least 3 had the wrong amount of tickets attached. I did not however try to reproduce this eversince i posted the issue here.

ParticipantIts not possible for me to set up a staging environment since i cannot activate the Wootickets Plugin on another install. I deactivated the plugin in the original install and tried to enter the license key on the staging install with no success: Sorry, this key is out of installs.

MemberYou don’t need to enter the license key – you can omit that, the plugin will still function so you should be good to go ahead and test it out.
