Guest1. I also have problems after 4.0 update with the Cost_Utils.php. Warnings below
2. The Translation at the end of the Event page in German is not here anymore. There is now “Previous Veranstaltungen” or ”
“Next Veranstaltungen”.Please let me know when you have a solution. My provider doesn’t let me update the previous version of your plugin, because the file is too big. I am stuck with the errors right now.

ParticipantHowdy Yvonne,
I would love to help you with this. Would you mind logging in so I can verify your support access? Or, if you don’t have a support license and would like some volunteer support, don’t forget the forums over are WordPress.org: The Events Calendar.
Cheers!

ParticipantI just started another thread, but just found this. I’m getting the exact same error. Only on some events. I deactivated all other plugins and it was still there. Different theme still there.
I did try entering another event and it didn’t show up. But, I can’t figure out what’s triggering it.
here’s mine:

ParticipantHello Ridinggravel,
In the days following Yvonne’s post we found the cause of this issue. Basically there is text in the Event Cost field instead of a number, so the calendar does not understand it and generates an error. Obviously we do not want that error showing on the front end though, and we are working on version 4.0.2 of The Events Calendar which will stop those errors from showing. We will release this new version of the calendar as soon as it is ready, and then you can update.
Until then simply removing text from the event cost field will solve this issue. If you see an event generating errors, edit it and remove the text from the Event Cost field. If you need further assistance with this we would love to help. Would you mind continuing the conversation in your other topic? That way we do not spam Yvonne’s inbox.
Thank you!

ParticipantHowdy Thomas,
It would seem those strings are not translated. WordPress.org handles translations of plugins like ours, which unfortunately removes control from us. This makes the translation process a bit slower, but it also tends to be more accurate due to the bureaucracy involved.
Checkout the translation: https://translate.wordpress.org/locale/de/default/wp-plugins/the-events-calendar You will see there are 148 untranslated strings in German, of which 121 are awaiting approval. If you would like to speed this process up checkout the translator handbook on how you can pitch in and help translate a WP plugin (including ours): https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/handbook/tools/glotpress-translate-wordpress-org/
I really wish there was more I could do here. To be honest I am not a huge fan of how the WordPress translations work, because it is slow and untranslated strings like yours remain while we wait. But, they are still learning and hopefully WordPress will find some way to improve soon.
Since the original issue here has been inactive for a week I am scheduling it to be archived. If anyone has similar issues please don’t hesitate to open a new topic. Cheers!
