ParticipantOk, I have been using the ESSB plugin found at https://codecanyon.net/item/easy-social-share-buttons-for-wordpress/6394476 for over a year and it works great. I then purchased The Events Calendar Pro a few weeks ago and then ESSB plugin started acting funny. I stupidly did not realize the conflict until today, so I want to share with you the details so we can find a fix:
I tested all my plugins by deactivating them one-by-one and I found it is a conflict between these 2 plugins. When I disable the The Events Calendar PRO plugin, the ESSB sorting works great and shows the correct sorting and numbers! What does this mean?
Well, ESSB uses a shortcode to display the “most shared” posts across a range of social networks. When Events Calendar Pro is disabled, ESSB plugin correctly shows and sorts from highest to lowest the posts. But when Events Calendar Pro is activated, sorting of posts for ESSB is crazy: it shows a seemingly random sorting of the posts — there seems to be no rhyme or reason to the sorting.
I pasted the URL below of a page showing the sorting. Both ESSB and Events Calendar PRO are activated, so you can see the crazy sorting.
Can you think of a setting within Events Calendar Pro that is conflicting with ESSB? I did add some code to functions.php to hide the export calendar button, but that has no relationship with the conflict – when I add or remove the code it has no effect on ESSB sorting. Only the deactivation of Event Calendar Pro makes the sorting for ESSB ok.

KeymasterHi paperweight,
Thanks for reaching out and going PRO!
Sorry about this issue. I can try to help you fix this.
This will be a bit tricky because we don’t have access to the EESB plugin.
Also, could you send me some screenshots of the issue, like before and after?
I checked the url you shared but wasn’t able to locate any share buttons.
Cheers,

ParticipantHi, when will you be able to look into this? I’m at the unenviable point of uninstalling and deleting the EC plugin because of its conflict — there are lots of good event calendar plugins for WordPress, but very few good social plugins like the one conflicting with EC. 🙁
