ParticipantWe are using amr shortcode any widget to show the upcoming events widget on our home page. It almost works perfectly, but
...is wrapped around the event list. Screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/yVb8sRs.jpgCan you tell us where the
tags are coming from? We have contacted the plugin developer but she says it's not from her plugin. See http://wordpress.org/support/topic/added-around-widgetNovember 18, 2013 at 3:22 pm #77061rappnews
ParticipantFormatting worked in the preview, but not once I posted it. Angle bracket code angle bracket is what’s wrapped around the widget.

MemberHi rappnews
Sorry for the inconvenience with the ability to post code. We are working on making this is a lot more user friendly. We should be fixing this in the near future. In the mean time we suggest you use http://pastebin.com/ or create a gist here: https://gist.github.com/ and we’ll be able to see what you are seeing. These options also allow for the correct syntax and formatting (like a code editor) so you know that you are pasting the correct code.
If you want to paste it in either of those two and give us the link we’ll be able to help you out from there.

Looking again, I may be able to determine what you are talking about from the dot-org post.
If you think you still need to paste me a gist or provide me with anything else – go ahead and post that otherwise I’ll look into it from what I have here from the dot-org post.

MemberHi again rappnews,
Looking, preliminarily looking at this I don’t believe this is coming from our code either. It looks like some css is at play here.
Have you tried reverting to the default theme? If not I think that would be a quick way to tell. If you reverted to the default theme with the events plugin and the shortcode plugin still activated AND the code within angle brackets disappears then it would tell us where its coming from.
If you have a way of trying that then that will help us confirm for you.
Let me know how you get on.

ParticipantThanks for the reply. It’s still there, even with Twenty Thirteen activated. Here’s a screenshot of Firefox’s “Inspect Element” screen under Twenty Thirteen: http://i.imgur.com/2jRUBGO.jpg

MemberRappnews,
Could you also do me a favor and see what happens when you deactivate all your other plugins that you might have running on the site? – I should have confirmed this with you right off the bat – my apologies.
If it turn out one of those are causing a conflict let us know which one and we’ll see if we can recreate it on our side.
