    Dear support personnel,

I have created and event and when I click on “+ ICAL EXPORT”, it creates new calendar in outlook based on the name of my website. How do I go about changing this behavior so that it will add to my existing main calendar without creating a new one.

For example, if I buy tickets from Southwest Airlines and click to add the travel information, it opens outlook and when I click save, it saves to my main calendar.

    Thanks,

    Hey Terry,

Thanks for reaching out to us!

When downloading the iCal file, do you click on that file to open Outlook? If so, could you try opening Outlook and then importing the event via the downloaded file? Does this approach give you the option of importing the event into your main calendar?

    Thanks!

    Hi Josh,

No, my outlook is already opened. It creates a new calendar.

The behavior I’m looking for is to click on the button and it opens up the event in outlook and saving it to my primary calendar. This is the generic behavior for other web calendars I’ve used.

I would like to avoid any other unnecessary steps such as having to save and then import data into existing calendar.

    Thanks,

    Hey Terry,

Thanks for following up. I’ve created a new feature ticket in our internal tracking system. This will allow one of our developers to review the current approach as well as what may need to happen to update that connection from the iCal export into Outlook.

You’ll be notified here as we make progress on this one.

    Thanks!
