Just installed the new Facebook plugin suite on a site that had been running quite happily, and it broke all Ajax-y functionality in the admin console. You know, the old “dashboard stops working, widgets page is nonfunctional, no drag-and-drop anything” problem.

In an attempt to isolate the problem I disabled all plugins (which fixed the problem) and started activating them one by one until the site broke again, and the winner was ECP. With the Facebook plugin and ECP active at the same time, the site breaks. Disable either one of them and everything returns to normal.

    Anyone else seen this?

Hello Simon, are you running the latest version of all these plugins and add-ons? Does this happen on the latest version of the twenty eleven theme for you? I am running both as well and don’t have this problem myself. But if we know more details maybe we can help discover the issue together.

Hi Joyce, looks like the root cause was resource consumption, not a code conflict. When I upped the memlimit to 256Mb the dashboard returned to normal.

Thanks for confirming as much, Simon. Can we assume that you’re all set here then? If not, let us know and we’ll do whatever we can to get over what you need. Cheers and thanks for your support so far.
