I’m looking to change the page title on default calendar page from events to something else. I want to have only that page view’s title change and not all the other months titles as well, or better stated, I want to change Events for April 2014 to “Something else for April 2014” and just have the “Something else” change on all the pages so that after clicking future months it would say “Something else for May 14”.

Sorry if this is covered somewhere else but i’ve spent quite a bit of time trying to figure out how to do this and couldn’t find it. This would be a good candidate for the tutorials page since it seems like it’s been asked in many different ways.

    chrisdm,
Thanks for getting in touch! You should be able to do this by pasting the following snippet into your theme’s functions.php file: https://gist.github.com/ckpicker/11375183 You’ll just want to make sure that you change the ‘Something Else for’ text to match what you’re wanting to display.

Give that a shot and let me know if it does the trick for you. Thanks! 🙂
