GuestHello,
I have a bilingual website that’s Norwegian and English.
The Activity Calendar is mainly used in the Norwegian version, and has been working good up until recently.
This error might have appeared at some update of the plugin.I’ve made different categories to collect the events that belongs to each of the museums featured in this website, and linked to each of these. An example of this is http://www.museumnord.no/events/kategori/fiskeindustrimuseum/ Using this link worked fine before, but now I get a 404 error, and have to rewrite it to http://www.museumnord.no/events/category/fiskeindustrimuseum/ in order to get there. In other words, ‘Category’ has to be in english now.
Is there a fix for this?
Thank you

MemberHi,
Sorry for the issues you are having.
How did you get the word kategori to work before?
Did you have some custom coding to do that?
Or was this from the translation file?
I believe there is an issue with the latest Norwegian translation file that might be causing this.
Let me know about the above and I can see what we can do.
Thanks

GuestHi,
thank you for quick response.
Yes, the word ‘Kategori’ used to work. I can’t quite remember, as I set up the site about a year ago,
but no custom coding was done, and I think it just worked out automatically with WPML.In the WP dashboard menu, the name has changed from ‘Kalender’ to ‘Events’, so obviously there has been a change either from WPML update or The Events Calendar update.

MemberThanks for the info.
Unfortunately, we do not support WPML compatibility although it is in plans to add that support hopefully in a couple releases from now, but I do not have an exact timeline.
So although it might have worked before due to the refactor in 3.10 it looks it has changed and I do not have a way to fix it through WPML.
I did play around with this coding and got it to work to change the event category slug:
https://gist.github.com/jesseeproductions/762f784476f555469d11
You can change the word events there to something different and you will have to resave permalinks to get this to work.
As for changing the word events, venues, and organizers, we have these filters to help change those:
https://gist.github.com/jesseeproductions/f4b175d407efa48564a9
After making changes you will need to resave permalinks too.
Let me know how this works out.
Thanks
