Kevin
MemberIs there any way to add a link to the calendar sidebar widget to view upcoming months in the same widget. For instance it’s November, so a link to view December’s events in the widget?

MemberHi Kevin. You may be able to hack something together on this; I’ll get our developer Jonah to take a look and respond directly.
In the interim, you may want to check out this tutorial we put together on customizing the widgets last week: https://theeventscalendar.com/how-to-completely-customize-widgets/. May be useful as you continue to customize the widgets going forward.

ParticipantI’m interested in this also. If you could post the fix I would appreciate it. Thanks.

ParticipantHi Kevin/Tom,
This is possible and you will want to follow the tutorial posted by Rob above but instead create a duplicate copy of the TribeEventsCalendarWidget located in plugins/events-calendar-pro/lib/widget-calendar.class.php
Then around line 26 you’ll want to use something like this:
I hope that helps,

ParticipantThanks for the quick response Jonah. I’ll take a look and see if I can figure it out.

ParticipantThanks guys. That worked, but it’s not very graceful. The new link takes users to the calendar page for the next month… is there a way to have it change the sidebar’s calendar? Thanks again, Tom

MemberLet me see if Jonah has any other thoughts on this one, Tom.

ParticipantHi Tom, no not currently and it’s going to take some more heavy duty dev work but I’ll add it to the list because it is a good idea!

ParticipantThanks guys. Looking forward.
By the way, our client loves what she can do with ECP it’s changing the way she has handled events in the past and, after a brief learning curve, is making her life (and ours) a whole lot easier.
Great job on the plugin, Tom

MemberThis is awesome to hear, Tom. Anything that can make things easier on you guys is a score as far as I’m concerned, so this feedback is appreciated and something the team will surely be glad to hear. Let us know if anything else comes up on your end or if you have other questions.

ParticipantHi Rob – I would like the calendar widget to be able to navigate to the next month while still in the sidebar as well – do you think this might be up and coming?
Thanks so much,
NiniFebruary 6, 2012 at 7:53 am #14721Rob
MemberHi Nini! Thanks for the post. Yup, this is one of our most-requested features so far so it’ll be included in the initial 2.1 push. It’s not yet in the code but will be.

ParticipantThanks Rob ~
Do you have a sense of possible timeframe?February 6, 2012 at 8:43 pm #14763Rob
MemberThe code itself will be released sometime between now and the end of March; so this code will be added by then at the latest. Hope that helps and do let me know if you’ve got any other questions along these lines.
