Calendar widget set to one month

I have posted this before but wasn’t specific. I can set the main events calendar page to one month via the Appearance >> Menu >> Events but want to do the same for the Events Calendar widget. At the moment it is showing September but I need it to show October. Barry posted a solution re: functions.php file but I think this is for the main calendar and not the widget.

Is there any way to force the Calendar Pro widget onto October – I don’t care if people can navigate forwards and backwards but the client wants the default view to be October.

Hi Simon: the solution outlined here does indeed relate to the calendar widget, rather than the main events calendar.

Stuck it at the front of the function file (as another poster mentioned) …. bingo works perfectly.
