Peter
MemberGreetings,
How do I change the title “Calendar of Events” in my calendar?

MemberHello again Peter! The easiest way to do this seems like it’d just be to modify the English translation (with a tool like POEdit) so that it rendered as whatever you wanted it to. Might that serve your needs?

MemberI have downloaded POEdit, but before I go do some editing I would like to know which file to edit. Just to be on the safe side.

MemberI’d say create a new English translation file; create a new catalogue from the .pot file, then name it accordingly when saving (generating the .po and .mo files along the way) and drop into the language section in your plugin folder. That help?

MemberThanks for the instructions. I have been trying to do so, but it doesn’t seem to work. Perhaps I am doing it wrong or missing out something?
If it isn’t too much to ask, will it then be possible for you to give me an exact guide or so?
Thank you in advance.

MemberHey Peter. We are in the process of putting together a broader walkthrough on this, but in the interim hopefully this will give you what you need:
1. Open the .pot file from the plugin folder in POEdit.
2. Make the changes to whatever word(s) you want to translate, leaving the rest untouched.
3. When you’re done, save to generate the new .po and .mo files.
4. Label those newly-saved files with whatever language code you deem appropriate, then save them in the lang folder.
5. In your WP config file, change the language to reflect that corresponding code.Upon saving and reviewing the frontend, you should be all set. Let me know if that gives you problems or if you have any questions on this.

MemberI have successfully been able to change the title of this page: http://furesoehoerecenter.dk/events but the problem still occurs.
The title repeats itself even after the translation. How do I fix this problem? Perhaps it’s something regarding a .php file?

MemberIt shouldn’t be related to a .php file, unless you’d modified one – would you be willing to install the 2.0.2 code (technically being released tomorrow) to see if it fixes the issue? If so please shoot me an email (Rob at tri.be) and I’ll get that your way. We can keep troubleshooting as needed from there.

MemberHello Rob,
I just sent you an email regarding this issue.

MemberHi Peter. I emailed you back as well, with the code. Let’s see where that takes us.

MemberSo, I’ve been emailed an updated version of The Events Calendar and Events Calendar PRO.
Also, I transferred the translated .po and .mo files but it didn’t solve the issue.

What should the next step be?

MemberMy guess is that there is a problem with the translation files then, can you email me your po/mo files to rob at tri.be? Please include a link to this thread as a frame of reference and I will give it a go on my end.

MemberHey Peter. Thanks. I’ve tested these, and with them installed I am not seeing this same issue: http://cl.ly/1S431r0F0S2T0V0M140o. Since I’m on the default 2011 theme with no other plugins active, my guess is this is a theme conflict in your instance. Can you try reverting to the 2011 theme (and deactivating your other plugins as needed) to see if that may actually be the case?
