ParticipantMy Events URL slug is “schedule” so my grid view should show up at http://www.bayareascience.org/schedule/
but I end up with a 404. It is showing up at http://www.bayareascience.org/events/
What am I doing wrong? Is there caching within the plugin that would cause some delay in making the change to the result being updated?
So weird!

ModeratorCheck your Events > Settings > General again. Some have found that after upgrading to 2.0.9 they had to reset some settings.

ParticipantI deactivated and reactivated the plugin and that seems to have corrected it for now. Seems very weird for that to make any difference.

MemberI am not a developer. But as others have report, the calendar link often disappears and you get a 404 error when clicking on the “view all events” button. I think I have found the cause. But I don’t know how to fix it. The Calendar URL is …/meetings/ (it could be set up as “schedule”), but the button “view all events” has the URL …/meetings/months. Delete “months” and the problem disappears. It appears to be a code fault in the plug-in. Can someone fix this? I don’t want to disactivate and reactivate every time I do a ticket in Eventbrite. Thanks very much. Tony Turrittin

MemberI just set up a clean WP install (3.3) and ECP (2.0.9). It seems to me the Events URL slug is only read upon plugin activation… so if you change it in the Settings page, it will give a 404 until you deactivate/reactivate the EC plugin. I tested this and it seems to be consistent – perhaps something the devs should look at?

MemberHi all. There does seem to be some sort of issue here. What Andy suggested is certainly a current problem but it’s looking like there could be another issue afoot, too.
Please bear with us while I check into this in a little more detail.

MemberGuys I’m experiencing the same thing.
It seems the rewrite rules are one step behind – as a temporary workaround until we can look into this further what I’d recommend (if you have changed the URL slugs) is visiting the WordPress Settings > Permalinks page.
You shouldn’t need to actually change anything, just accessing that page should be sufficient to flush the rewrite rules and pull in the new slug. Really sorry for the inconvenience, we’ll do our best to sort this out as quickly as possible.

MemberBy way of update, this is confirmed as a (high priority) bug at our end and we’ll get a fix out there as soon as we can.
In the interim I’d recommend following the steps in my last post – that is, simply visit the WordPress Settings > Permalinks page – if you come up against this.
Thanks all š

ParticipantThis is similar to my problems. I redid my settings and can see my calendar grid on my Calendar page again. I’m using calendar and event for the slugs, but I tried events and event with no better result. If I load Aug it reflects the month as 2012-08 and displays the old events on the calendar grid. The Sep month does not display events on the calendar grid. It does display upcoming events for Sept on the event list. The permalink ending seems to flip from calendar/2012-09 to calendar/month. Visiting WP permalinks settings did not work – but my custom permalink is written to capture categories, dates and post names.
Appreciate your patience. I am not a pro and teaching myself as I go. Hoping your next fix works, as I’m not a coder.
Thanks!September 21, 2012 at 6:10 am #25508Barry
MemberHi Angelia – it might be that I am misinterpreting your post but it’s sounding as if what you are experiencing could be a different issue.
To avoid confusion it would be great if you could create a new thread about your issue (and if possible include a URL so we can view this and get a better understanding of what is happening).
Thanks!
