ParticipantOur calendar hangs when attempting to view previous or upcoming events. Have tried switching to the Twenty Sixteen theme but the hang still occurs. Have deactivated as many site specific plugins as possible, however we’re unable to deactivate network enabled plugins because this is our live site. Thinking it may be an AJAX problem, as we can load the events if we go to the URL. Please advise.

MemberGood evening Brandon and welcome back!
Thank you for reaching out to us.
We are sorry to hear about the navigation links not working on your site. Yikes!
I would love to help you with this topic. From what I can see, the issue stems from https://www.brandonu.ca/wp-content/plugins/bu-asides/js/aside-position.js more specifically “Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read property ‘cloneNode’ of null at window.onload”
This Javascript issue is most likely preventing the rest of the Javascript on the page from working properly alas.
I would recommend either disabling this on this specific install or contacting the plugin author to see what is going on. My hunch is that this might be caused by some Javascript-related settings in your caching program.
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantThat fixed it, thanks.

ParticipantWhoops, looks like I spoke too soon. The Previous Events link still hangs for us on https://www.brandonu.ca/events/, even with the Asides plugin disabled.

MemberGood evening,
Thank you for writing back.
It looks like the bu-asides has a life of its own. I am saying this because the Javascript error is still very much present and visible from the Google Developer tools console.
Perhaps this is a caching issue (it might be disabled but WP Super Cache does not know that).
While you are at it, can you temporarily deactivate WP Super Cache and flush the cache while you troubleshoot this ?
Let me know how that goes.
Best regards,

ParticipantOK, I’ve turned off WP Super Cache and the Events Calendar AJAX issue persists. My Chrome console shows no errors from the BU Asides plugin.
