Whenever I create SEO data via WordPress SEO by Yoast, the “General” tab WPSEO data is being copied into the Venue’s WPSEO fields.

Not sure if this is my install or due to TEC plugin or WPSEO…but whatever the case, it creates SEO conflicts as the SEO data from the event itself should NOT be copied into the venue SEO…

    FYI…

    Hi efromdc,

    I’m sorry you’re hitting difficulties.

We’re often limited in terms of how much support we can offer for third party plugins but I realize WordPress SEO by Yoast is very popular indeed and wanted to test this out. Here’s what I tried, with just The Events Calendar, Events Calendar PRO and WordPress SEO activated:

    • Edited an existing event
    • Added various bits of text to the fields (including “SEO Title”) in the General tab of the WP SEO meta box
    • Updated the event
    • Navigated to the corresponding venue
    • On editing the venue, none of those fields appeared to have inherited the data I entered for the event

Is it possible something else is conflicting here?

Hi! It’s been a while so I’m going to go ahead and close this thread. If we can help with anything else, though, please don’t hesitate to create new threads as needed. Thanks!
