Blog Posts Expiring / showing as events

Hi folks.
I’ve got a site I need to get finished in the next week, It’s going pretty well, we’re using EC Pro and Community Events. However, I’ve just noticed that my Blog articles on the Blog Page don’t seem to be working anymore, If I click the link to the Blog article page (from the abstract on the blog page), it takes me to a pretty blank page, with times text :

Event:
Test Blog 2
Date:
January 3, 2013 3:10 am
Updated:

iCal Import + Google Calendar
Next Event >>
”

I’ve posted it as a “Post”, not an Event … but I can’t work out why it thinks it’s an event, have I missed a setting somewhere or done something you’ve heard about before?
I did a search but didn’t really come up with anything.

Hi Lee,

This sounds like either a plugin or theme conflict or maybe something to do with Permalinks. Have you tried deactivating all other plugins or reverting to the Twenty Eleven/Twelve theme? Or, try refreshing your Permalinks by visiting Settings > Permalinks. Let me know whether or not that or if you find deactivating all other plugins or switching themes helps.

Hey Jonah. Cheers for your reply.
I did go through and deactivate all the plugins, but that just stopped the site working completely. I’ll have another look tonight or tomorrow, I’ve got other things I can be getting on with at the moment.
While im here though / in the meantime, I have the Events Calendar in a javascript overlay (click the button in the header and the calendar slides down over the content), to do this im just using
include(‘wp-content/themes/reverie/events/gridview.php’);
The problem Im having is that when you click on the main events page in the nav, the calendar doesn’t work, Im assuming this is because there’s 2 calls in the same page?

Hey Jonah.
Can close or delete this, worked out what the problem was.
In moving the file single.php from the EC\Views folder to my theme folder, I accidentally / stupidly overwrote the main theme file with the Events Calendar one. DOH!
