ParticipantIn the Attendees list for events, I see Order# Purchaser Name, Purchaser Email etc.
When “Purchasers” checkout, their first and last names are entered into separate fields, however the data has been joined on this view… is it possible to list last name / first name in separate columns as they were originally entered in checkout?
Asking because exporting to excel, which is brilliant… works fine, but I can’t sort by last name without running some functions on the name column to break it into separate fields. With the amount of times we run this report and the number of events we manage the ability to export with a sortable last name field would be a huge time saver.
As always thanks for the support!

MemberHi Michael.
For RSVP tickets, it just asks for “Full Name”; it doesn’t have separate First / Last Name fields. And any custom Attendee Meta fields could be added to RSVP and/or WooCommerce or another ticket type if you wanted to make your own First Name and Last Name fields.
Please let me know if this answers your question.

ParticipantHi Cliff,
Thanks for the response.
We are using WooCommerce tickets. I don’t want to slow the ticket purchase process by asking for, or requiring a name for each ticket, but at the same time, I want the “attendees CSV” to be sortable by last name, also I was just asked if we could add phone number.
So for now, the only time people are entering their name, appears to be at checkout because we do not use attendee meta fields. So the CSV is getting the names from the checkout which is fine with me, I just want to be able to sort it so when people show up at the front door positive, full of energy and excited to get in, we can find them on our list in seconds and get them into their seats and a beverage.
If the phone number is collected at checkout can we too add this data to this CSV as well?
Trying to get a feel for how reasonable or likely this request is and I’m really appreciative of your time and help.
Thanks

MemberPlease reference our Event Tickets Attendee Meta KB article.
If using ET+ Attendee Meta, yes, you can add any Text Field, but none of the fields have validation (like tel# or zip code).
If you want to add fields to your WooCommerce checkout page (where they’re already entering their billing information), you’ll need to reference their documentation, but those fields do not come through to the ET+ Attendee Meta export.
If you need some coding help, you may want to ask your developer or reference our documentation and list of known customizers.
