ParticipantI have a sidebar, in which I would like to place an Upcoming Events widget. However, to my surprise, the widget does not have any styles applied to it (only the mini calendar does). It appears this was intended.
I love the styles applied to the event list items in the mini calendar widget. However, I don’t want the calendar, I just want the list.
In one thread, it was suggested to use the mini-calendar and remove the calendar via CSS or template override. None of these work for me, however, since the mini-calendar list only shows events for the current month. I need upcoming events to be show in sequence, regardless of the month they fall under.
Upon testing, I found that if I put BOTH widgets in (that is, the mini-calendar widget and the upcoming events widget), the styles for the mini-calendar applied to the upcoming list. I figured I could go and hide the calendar widget altogether with a display:none, and viola.
However, I don’t like having to enable something, only to have to disable/hide it at some other point, especially something like the calendar, which would steal load time.
Is there an easy way to apply mini-calendar event item CSS to the upcoming events widget?

ParticipantI just wanted to clarify the following sentence used in the above post: “I need upcoming events to be show in sequence, regardless of the month they fall under.”
I read this:
#3 in the list says the mini-calendar list and the “advanced list widget” (I assume this is the “Events List” widget?) are now consistent, but that doesn’t appear to be the case for me?
My mini-calendar widget only shows the events for the selected month. So, for instance, right now it is December 30th, and the next event is in January. However, no events are shown, since there are no events in December. The “Events List” widget, however, doesn’t have this problem, and shows, simply, upcoming events.
This is why I didn’t want to use the previously suggested methods.

ParticipantOne last clarification (sorry, can’t edit posts):
My train of thought is as follows: the mini-calendar widget calls a particular CSS file in order to have it’s contents styled correctly.
In particular, wordpress/wp-content/plugins/events-calendar-pro/resources/widget-calendar-full.css?ver=3.9
I wanted to simply have the “Event List” widget call that same CSS file, so that my Event list can be styled the same way. I don’t the know the best way to go about achieving that though.

MemberHi there, Mark! Thanks for reaching out and sorry you’re bumping into an issue with the widget stylesheets loading.
This is definitely an issue on our end. We recently released an update where the Mini Calendar and Events List widgets share the same stylesheet–however, it sometimes fails to load when the Event List widget is activated on its own.
There is a fix for this on the way, planned for the first week of January. Sorry again that you’re hitting this issue–I’ve noted this thread and we will try to follow up with you directly here when it’s released. In the meantime, please keep your eyes open for the release.
Thanks!

MemberHi there,
Thanks for your patience while we looked into this problem. We are working on a secondary maintenance release that addresses this issue. Keep an eye on your site for a new update to version 3.9.1. We’ve tested this release thoroughly and it should resolve the reported issue. However, if you are still running into trouble please start a new thread and we will respond as soon as possible. Thanks again for your patience and support!
