Adjusting time

How do we adjust the time frame in the calendar so that it spans from 8AM to 11PM leaving out all other AM hours?

It’s both actually. It follows that if the general “Time” column in the calendar could be adjustet to show only 8AM to 11PM (leaving out all other AM hours) then “Night” shouldn’t be an option in the Filter bar either.

It would be great if a general “Time frame” (i.e. corresponding to our office hours) could be set in the ECP settings. Not everyone wants to range Events on 24 hours basis.

We’re making some changes to week view in order to make it scroll to the time of the earliest event (in the context of week view) so that might suit your needs for the first part of your issue, though you will need to wait one or possibly a number of releases before that is deployed: beyond that – or if you need a solution in the short term – it’s really something you would need to drive forward by yourself and we’ve got lots of useful documentation on making custom changes throughout our site as you’re probably aware:

That certainly makes sense, though it will likely continue to be the case that these are two separate customizations that you would need to make. Right now though the process of tweaking elements like this is a little involved – you’re welcome to dive in and see what you can do of course – but it’s not something we can help with at this time.

We do have some changes scheduled though to help improve the ease with which the Filter Bar can be customized, so you can look forward to improvements in this arena as the plugin develops.

I’m another one who is in a desperate need of showing events in the weekly view what are prior to 8am. Our day starts from 7am and right now no one has any idea that there’s another session starting at 7am.
Would really appreciate a quick solution to show the Weekly view from 7am in my case instead of the default 8am.

Hi! We’re making some changes that should roll out in an upcoming release – these are geared at making week view start at whatever time the earliest event in a given week is. That should help with the problem you’re facing (and you can of course favour a different view until that arrives).
