ParticipantI added a few additional fields, including one called “registration link” and saved it as URL field type. I have been inputting the event link from our CMS, and until very recently, it worked correctly as a link. Today I noticed that this field was no longer a link but a text field (so instead of a clickable link for each event, it was a text field with code, eg… “ http://kidmuseum.org.nonprofiteasy.43423342” What caused this change and how can I make it a clickable link again? I had to temporarily cut and paste the correct link to the “website” field, as it’s the only field that I can get to work as a clickable link, but it’s missing to refer to it as a website. Alternatively, it would work to rename the “website” field “registration link” but I’m not sure how to do that. Please help – thanks!

Thanks for reaching out to us on this! Unfortunately this is a bug introduced in our last update 🙁
Please take a look at this temporary solution: https://theeventscalendar.com/support/forums/topic/html-shows-as-text/#dl_post-1003968 – other option is to downgrade the plugins to a previous working version.
This bug is already logged and a fix for this will be included in next release coming out -hopefully- in November.
Please let me know if you can apply the fix for now,

When I logged this bug the tickets for the maintenance release were already defined and mostly everything was ready for QA. So I guess it was a matter of timing!
We are aware this a bummer, and a fix for this is already being developed. Also as many of you raised awareness on this I bumped the priority of this fix to the higher level.
