Adding custom fields to Venues

    Hello,

    I’m looking for a way to add custom fields to venues on The Events Calendar Pro. Essentially, we need things like opening times, facilities, etc. I have found this thread that says submit a feature request, which I have upvoted. However, I need this functionality as soon as possible. I am prepared to do some custom work, I was just wondering if someone could point me in the right direction of how to hook in to the create a venue screen to create these custom fields without modifying the core plugin?

    Hi Samantha,

    My suggestion would be to use something like http://www.advancedcustomfields.com/ – it’s going to be much easier to setup custom fields for anything that way.

    Hi Jonah,

    I’ve just done a quick test and this seems to be a perfect solution. I’ve always been loyal to Magic Fields, but I think it’s time I jumped ship.

    You’re welcome Samantha, ACF is one of favorite plugins for custom fields! Very well developed and constantly improving. Let us know if you need help with anything else.
